A stunning review of my book Before He Kills Again by author Michelle Dunne in the Irish Examiner. You can read it here. ‘It’s an expertly crafted, unflinching, and creepy-as-hell thriller. Tadhg Coakley is at the top of his game.’
Thrilled with this review of my new book Before He Kills Again in The Echo by Gráinne McGuinness. You can read it here. ‘Like The Game last year, I would not be surprised to see Before He Kills Again appear on best-of lists of Irish crime fiction at the end of the year. A gripping read.’
I’m delighted that my next book (a crime novel) will be published in March 2023 by the Mercier Press. You can preorder it here. Here’s the cover. I was delighted to participate in an event to celebrate National Crime Reading Month in Cork City Libraries with Catherine Kirwan, author of Cruel Deeds and Darkest Truth. Cork City’s One City One Book was launched by Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Kieran McCarthy in Cork City Library on 14 August. A discussion on the book with myself was led by poet and writer Thomas McCarthy, behind closed doors. Click here to watch the discussion
My second novel, Whatever It Takes was published by the Mercier Press on August 5th, 2020. This is a contemporary crime novel set in Cork city, featuring a Garda detective, Collins, who goes to war against a professional criminal.
Great to see my forthcoming novel Whatever It Takes listed in Books to Watch Out For in 2020 by the Irish Times. 59 books to watch out for in 2020 – all from independent publishers In some heady company, lovely to have the book mentioned at the beginning of 2020.
